Toffee Bars

Ingredients:

40 saltine crackers
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter (approx 2 sticks)
1 package chocolate chips
pecan pieces if desired

Instructions:

Place saltines on 9 X 12 foil-lined cookie sheet.  Melt brown sugar and butter; pour over crackers and bake for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.  Remove from oven and put chocolate chips on top.  As the chips melt, spread like icing.  Sprinkle with pecan pieces if desired.
